Very stylish; gameplay falters a little bit...
Skytunes is a pretty good game overall. The game was very stylish and sleek, and everything felt polished. I myself like Elite Beat Agents, so the gameplay was nice. The music was true to the description; it was rather relaxing compared to the heavy metal and trance in other Rock Out games.
What I didn't like about the game is that it is very hard to keep up with the beats. The beats, especially in later levels, occur almost randomly across the screen, and, though it really isn't random, they are too far apart to click in time. Even though the game doesn't subtract points from your score for missing beats, I swear I could have gotten a lot more if I knew what to click first. Having numbered beats that would indicate which to go to next would really help a lot.
Another small nitpick was the squirrelly beat holds, as they didn't feel as well put-together as the normal beats (it doesn't recognize that you put your cursor off of the circle if you hold your mouse and drag). But, it's still a nice, well-put-together game. Eight out of ten for me.
