You might want to mention the game Stratego. Amazingly done; AI is beautiful. I used to play this game every morning with my brother. Love it love it love it.
Great game.... stalemate?
Great game, and I enjoy the mechanics of it. Unlike other reviewers, I realize there are the same amount of pieces for each side - the only "luck" involved is where/when they happen to show up, which you can manage by strategic selection of where to uncover a tomb.
One issue: I think it declares a stalemate too easily. I've been in the midst of maneuvering a set of pieces into position to capture the King or another last piece, and it will suddenly declare a stalemate. Worse yet, even if I have a Bishop, Queen, and King, if the computer has five lower-pieces, it can still win on points - even if it has no Kings or pawns left, and thus no way for it kill my King!
Might want to consider how the stalemate logic is handled, or allow the player to decline a stalemate if they feel it's not really stalemated yet..

it took me a while to understand its mechanics fully, but i eventually got it *after reading the instructions over and over* and i finally picked it up, great game, i got addicted, so yea keep up the good work, i like the them as well.

Nearly all the reviews seem to complain about the randomness. They don't seem to realise that it works both ways - I've had games where I've been in trouble through no fault of my own, but I've also had ones where I've taken out all of their pieces as soon as they've spawned!
Both sides get the same pieces. It's just the order they come out in that's random. Don't uncover any squares next to your king and move some pawn-killers in to protect him and it's actually quite hard to lose.
