I liked the movie because it has some great artistic value.
hmm..
so, let me get this straight.
I am to understand that oxygen is running low...for some reason... and that the only people that can survive this oxygen depletion, is these Nazi guys with masks.
Ok. So how does this guy in the attic survive for so long?
I will put it bluntly: How is this guy BREATHING?
I mean, I thought the theme was the whole, you know, no oxygen thing. Why would these Nazi guys even need to kill every one? they should just suffocate.
Ah, but of course, they need to kill all the people hiding in oxygen plentiful attics. How could I have missed that, they need to kill these people for...

You comparing stuff to world war 2 should know that there were people wearing gas masks and people not wearing gas masks, not because oxygen was low.

I believe that the soldiers symbolize the eventual decline of our planet due to us cutting down more trees than we can grow back, thus shortening our oxygen supply. This is eventual, and is not ever going to happen in any of our lifetimes unless a comet hits the planet and causes us to, well, die. "With their masks they survive" means that we have oxygen now, but are still exhaling toxins, or carbon dioxide, which without trees, is eventually a poison. Well, this is my belief. Good flash anyway. Try to go for global warming next.
