Reviews for "Sound Control Tutorial"

The only tut I know that uses AS to control sound

And that's exactly what I was wanting. This kind of tutorial is perfect for games, as simply putting sound in a frame can prove much harder than expected ;). I only needed a short part of the tut, but I decided to check out the rest anyway, and I found it really helpful. The AS was flawless, and the _root. tip always helps. Into my faves it goes, and a congratulations on making this!!!

PS: I know you've heard it tons, but I too think the Lockdude thing at the beginning was a bit OTT :P

Lockdude responds:

Thanks, I'm glad I could help :) Well I am planning on making more tutorials, its just with school what little time I have doing nothing I normally spend relaxing, anyway my point is I'll have more tutorials coming eventually so keep a look out, planning drawing game tutorial and a zooming in tutorial. Anyway thanks for the great review!

And yeah I am going to fix that starting, didn't realise how slow it actually was :|

Good effort

I can tell yo put much effort on making this. Its not quite what I'm looking for, but its good. I'm looking for a simple helpers like buttons. k lets talk about this. Its has pretty good graphics the beginning scared me a little. The style is k. Its original Sound is good would be nice if it had a mute button and/or a music choice bar. There isn't violence. Its fully interactive no doubt. There isn't much humor. If there was it would be better. Thank you for making this. A little help helps. :) -D3ath1337

Lockdude responds:

Thanks, it was my first so I thought I might leave humour out of my first one, I wanted it to be rated purely on how helpfull it is. I thought of doing a basic buttons etc flash but I saw how many there already were. I am working on another one but then school came back and I havent had much time to finish it off. So keep an eye out for more tutorials, and thanks again for the great review.

Pretty Good

Good tutorial, well introduced, very descriptive, and good info. Great for beginners to learn how to use and optimize sound.

Lockdude responds:

Thanks, I'm going to try keeping them coming.

What the ..... is this?!?

Dude, seriously. This site is not meant for tutorials. Do you think anyone will search on newgrounds for tutorials?
Your discription of "the game" isn't even correct. I didn't know what to expect, so this is totally useless on this site!
On the other site I am not complaining about looks of "the game".
But seriously, this is a waste watching it to me, sorry.

Lockdude responds:

I'm sorry, but last time I checked this site was made for flashes, cause if I am mistaken then unfortuently so are heaps of other people on this site as well, that is why there is an entire tutorial section and why if you search tutorial you'll find heaps, maybe for you this is completely useless but I know that to other people it is not. And if it's a waste of your time because it's not what you wanted you dont have to vote, as for other's I am sure this was helpful.

graphics are nice, true

I'd agree with the previous reviewer, though, that it isn't necessary to have the intro up for quite so long.

I'll try the code for having a sound play when a button is pressed.
Thanks.

Lockdude responds:

Thanks, for your review, I'll take the "A Lockdue Production" thing into mind for my next flash, thanks for being honest.
