And if I may make several suggestions for your third part...
Try having Slippy meet Amanda, his lover, after his space charade.
Try having Sonic meet Shadow
Try making it so that Fox actually ends up in Krystal's pants (if she's wearing any...)
And finally, try making Niki end up with Paula from Earthbound, or Tails with someone like Aerith from Final Fantasy 7.
This is just my opinion, consider it if you wish...
