Reviews for "Frag Assault"

An Addictive Robotron Perspective Action Shooter.

It has a good array of weapons to play with. I personally choose wave mode to be my prefered mode to play in, although assault lets you submit high scores.

ZT responds:

You can submit high scores on wave mode too, dont miss out! I'm glad you liked the game :)

Good game.

I like the style and the music. I do, however, think you should make it so you can pick up as many weapons as you want and keep them until you run out of ammo for them, then you discard them. I constantly found myself running through 5 enemies to get another weapon because mine just ran out of ammo. It would make things a little easier if you also picked up the ammo when you walk over the same weapon you are holding, or perhaps drop things of ammo for different guns instead of the guns themselves.

ZT responds:

Glad you liked it, thanks for the suggestions :)

A Thoroughly Decent Beginning.

A great game with lots of potential, but some awkward problems that take the edge off it. The biggest is balance, as others have said: some enemies are just impossible to kill without grenades or guns, like the firebats. If you make the sword a little more user-friendly, and a useful weapon in all situations (ie. you don't have to take damage to kill an enemy), it would be lots of fun. Maybe a few tricks or powers might be a nice touch, bullet-time-esque things. Definitely a good grounding though.

ZT responds:

Hey, thanks for the suggestions, where were you during the beta? ;)

Could be a lot better..

If you could pick up more than one gun, if the fire guys didn't basically kill you for not having a gun, and if you could move faster (I mean he's fighting for his life, I'd be movin fast) this would be so much better. But it's really unbalanced and frustrating, to get a high score would involve nothing but luck with weapon drops and enemy spawns.

ZT responds:

After a while, if you can learn to ration your ammo and use your sword well, drops shouldn't matter too much. Thanks for all of the suggestions! :)

I admit that the graphics and such hold up pretty well. What I did not like was how it was, well, too difficult for me. Everything just caused massive damage. Granted, I guess it really does depend on the settings. Glad I managed to learn that. The music was fairly good.

I've seen one man armies before, but this one seems weird even by most standards. Even Hank J. Wimbledon couldn't shoot down tanks! It is fairly easy to play in itself. You had a pretty good sense of mobility. I don't like that blood splatter effect.
