Reviews for "PrTr: 07 With Heart and Shield"

Peter on Steroids.

'Nuff said? No. I think not. There's plenty to say, but for the most part there aren't any words that exist to be able to use.

But the words that DO exist that I can use, I can form to make these following sentences:

Peter, this is simply stunning. Right now my two most-favorite tracks are 07 and 06, With Heart and Shield and Clash of Armour (which I love that you spelled Armour that way. Win :D ). Although yes, I do still like Artine's Stars :3

I too love the "coke-can" sound as you call it, though I also love what you were striving for in this one (which I believe you accomplished in Clash of Armour). I think we all will love the music you make no matter what it is or what it sounds like, and I think that's because no matter what the song is, what genre it is, what emotions play out in it, how many instruments are used, mastered or not, sampled or not, somehow there's always this little Satera-touch (again, not Midas, Gold is behind Adamantium, after all :D ), or pehraps a big one in most cases, that just makes it, for lack of any other better words, Epic.
Every piece you do has heart, has feeling, that you put into it, and that is what makes the enormous difference between your tracks, and those of others (you can think of probably 20 famous modern composers for hollywood movies off the top of your head). You're not detached from your pieces.
So when you DO become famous like them, if not more so (wouldn't be surprising), can you promise everyone this?:

Don't sell out. Don't stop producing. Don't top putting that Satera-touch into everything you do. Don't do it for the money. Don't try to imitate anyone else (famous or otherwise), you have your own style. Continue to work and put your heart and soul into what you do, as you already have. Don't forget us. And most importantly, remember that it's not how "good" or how "perfect" the track is, it's You that's the difference. Don't forget Yourself.

This is what makes a composer great. And this is what separates you from the rest.

And this song is Peter on Steroids. Keep it up. If you've ever played Mario games or know about them; this is you getting that Star that makes you invincible.

Excellent. Simply superb. Another masterpiece.

Heck Artine! What did you have an hour to spare? ;)

I really appreciate your review, its great that you find my music a different to the usual you hear on here. I really want to grow my orchestra sound, give it more choir in your face. Sorta like...

Im really happy that you love this kind of stuff but I think I still have a long way to go...although I suppose I'll never be happy with any piece I'll do no matter how much better it is in comparison to older stuff. I think thats what helps progression. I have a long way to go, but as I said, its all for a hobby. I really dont think I'm anywhere near a proffessional composer. My methods are very sloppy.

Thanks so much though for the awesome review! I really appreciate it!

Oh man its fucking epic! Fifth time I listen to it and im still getting shivers down my arm. You captured the essence only from my writing and you made it truly come alive. The Intro, especially with the choir kicking in is fantastic and really sounds LOTRIsh, which I love. Slowly fading away the choir was very well done as it blended well into the instruments. As the drums start beating it transfers nicely into the battle part. The coke can sound is wonderful, thats what I love about some of your songs, like it or not :D The song is a masterpiece and Im very grateful that you took the time and effort to make it.

Thank you very much Peter
