Reviews for "I fish"

Amazing art and story.

It's always a pleasue to look at your work. There is something very compelling about this universe of colossal creatures, going from the golem like rock creatures, to the mechanical giants like this one. I also enjoy the descriptions you provide with these artworks. There often is this feeling of loneliness in your work. Having a colossal A.I. creature that emulates human behavior so well that it can even feel a lack of purpose and solitude in a world where, even if he's so big, he can still feel so small in an age of extinction... where I assume... there really aren't much living beings around.

Your art brings me to tears sometimes. Just the sheer overwhelming sense of loneliness and solidarity pieces like this give me brings me to the verge of tears but then I look at them again and they fill me with hope. The childlike innocence of this one, for example. like you said in the description, the A.I. of these machines emulates nature and as such it wonders as to what its purpose is, even as it fails to comprehend that very question. Yet even though it is struggling with coming to grips with the nature of its existence, it still manages to enjoy the pleasures it knows it enjoys, like fishing. That continual search for the small things that make its lonely and probably sometimes miserable life worth living, to see that struggle portrayed so beautifully and so accurately, that's what pushes me over the brink and lets me know it's okay to let the tears flow. Only by that point, they've become tears of joy.
