Reviews for "Lost Rhapsody 2"

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Awesome, I love the style of animation. A lot better than what you did with the last one.

Cool

Impressive graphics! Was not expecting Weird Al. I'd like to see more serious work from you, because your animation skills are too sweet.

Cool

nice graphics in the begining

Intro was nice!

I think the intro was very nice then it was not so good i think.. The intro was best in the whole movie

CapnBob responds:

It's true that the opening section got the most detailed attention since I was seeing how far I could push flash, but if you understand what the rest of the video is about then it really shouldn't require anywhere near that level of detail. In fact, as impressive as it would be, I think it would actually be less amusing for all that effort. Additionally... I wouldn't be done with it until the middle of next year if I had wanted to do everything to that standard. But hey, if you want to donate some cash to help pay some bills, I could afford to spend more time on it.

Trendsetting animation in the intro

The intro was amazing to me. Some of the most fluid, realistic animation that I've seen on Newgrounds thus far. I can see why a couple of folks thought that it was that 3D digital rotoscoping technique done in "A Scanner Darkly," the effect is very similar. It obviously takes a dip into Monty Pythonish parody once the record spins, but I had to watch the beginning a couple times just to catch some of the tricks that you used. Really, really impressive stuff.

CapnBob responds:

Thanks. I did some insane stuff in the beginning, especially when you consider this is a flash 6 movie and I don't have access to any of the nifty blur effects in flash 8. Seriously, I should have my head examined for individually animating each groove in the record. What was I thinking???
