Very fun game. Takes only about 1-3 hours to complete, depending on how much you grind/ take to explore everything. After the main storyline, there is still much to do. For the people who can't find a portal in the beginning, just go through the door on the right side. Please take a small amount of time to explore before asking a question, since everything you need is in close range. Once again, really nice game. I remember seeing a squeal page on the website a few years ago before it went down. I hope you'll post a followup on this page, because I'm very curious about it.

When i die, why do i have to leave this game and come back here?

quite annoying game

RPGs are about exploration and building and this game really fails on the exploration part. First and foremost- the battle rate. I'm getting attacked every other second, which quickly gets more and more annoying. This means that exploring becomes more of a chore, not that there was many places to actually explore anyways. And I swear- the caves were all just copied and pasted in different orders. Each corridor looks the exact same, and there's no puzzles. Without puzzles, then dungeons are nothing more than walking and getting attacked by the same enemies over and over. And with such a high attack rate, you're going to level up very fast. When you've leveled up so fast, the enemies stop being a challenge. In order for the player to WANT to explore- they have to be rewarded for it with new designs and treasures. When every corridor is the same, we aren't exploring we're just going with the motions.

Secondly, there isn't much room for planning or tactics. There's nothing more than mashing "GO" and racking up the points. I like the timing aspect, however. Turn based combat is better when you have to hit "GO" and avoid being hit. It needs more of an emphasis on that. There's also not a "RUN" option so you're committed to every fight you get into.

There's also a slight grind, particularly in the later parts of the game. Grinding is never fun. It means having to go through the same repetitive battles over and over again to stand a chance at winning.

Also, RPGs kind of need a good story to make up for slow gameplay to keep audiences interested. You didn't seem to have that issue because the game is not that very slow, but the story lacks characters and depth.

Now, on to the good parts.

I like the ability to fight every NPC. That's an awesome freedom. The world is big, but as I said, it lacks enough depth and reward to explore. The gameplay is addicting and fun enough to grow as a character. And it's length is very good for a flash game, even if it is a bit padded.
