Promising start but needs some work
This is a very promising first release candidate but falls short in two regards. First, it fails to keep the player's interest and becomes monotonous by the third level. Secondly, it's not all that fun in its current state. This isn't to say I dislike the game at all -- it's actually one of the most inventive and potentially excellent games I've played in a long time.
Three suggestions:
1.) Pour on the heat: throw more meteors at the player earlier; the game should become substantially harder from level to level.
2.) Add some FUN content: introduce a few unique and intermittent earthbound objects to break the monotony of the meteors; perhaps space shuttle capsules you can guide INTO the buildings for bonus score.
3.) Variety in music: Please. Nothing says monotony like repetitive music. Even if you only include three tracks with the game, alternate them each and every level. And make them *exciting* tracks -- you'd be surprised how crucial the soundtrack is to holding a player's interest.
Overall, I really like the game. The engine you've built is truly unique and the game has a lot of promise. With a bit more polish, this game could become a coffee break classic. Keep up the good work!
