Reviews for "-Telepath RPG Chapter 1-"

Yea!

that was one of the best made games ive ever played u frigen rock and i hope to see more....keep up the good work :)

A pretty nice game.

I enjoyed playing this, though at times I forgot to save and got annoyed with having to do things over again, I still found it enjoyable. And am I the only freakin person who found the sneaking part to be easy? You just go up the left side, diagonally go right and go around to the opening! It's not that hard, people. It only took me 2 tries, and it wasn't luck because after losing against the boss in the tent about 15 times (>.> Guess I suck at that part) I got through the same way each time, and I didn't have to stop for a break even once... I can just run through.

Though I will agree with some of the others on a one thing: it'd be nice to have more interactivity going on while sneaking around.

I'll look forward to the sequel, since I can't wait to find out which ending you'll take this from. Also, if this is really your first game, then nice job--I know I can't make games like this. I'm thinking of making a game, though I know nothing about ActionScript...still, I'll try to learn it. Anyway, I've strayed away from the point, here...

Running around was annoying. It sucked having to use both my hands to move that way then click on a door or a person to speak with them. You should add an option that allows players to press a key on the keyboard to interact with doors / people.

Overall, it was a neat little game. I had fun playing it, even though it's 3 in the morning and I've run out of caffeine to drink... heh... oops, strayed away from the point again. Sorry.

5/5

Sweet, thanks for the review. And don't worry, I've already come up with new running code for the next one that doesn't require two hands. :-)

nice rpg

Good work here. I found the dialogue better than most RPG's. I also like how the game uses gold and training rather than only experience. I just get tired of the same old fight and gain exp routine; this was a bit different, and it was just as good.

The only problem I noticed is that when you sleep near the shadowling encampment, you will only randomly get refreshed. Perhaps this is intended, but it seems like an odd quirk that should be fixed.

Other suggestions:
1) add a confirmation message when the player saves
2) make characters acknowledge progress toward the end. Like, after I found out about David, there was no difference in what I could talk to Falstaff about. When I left to town and came back, everything reset itself. This stuff should probably save.
3) make way to skip death cutscreen. I just shut down the flash and re-opened it instead of waiting. Not that it is bad, but no reason I would want to watch it a 10th time.

good game...

like i said its a good game but the graphics could be beter, and u could remind people to save i got hafe way through *i think**iner_thoughts* but then i died><
--- and i was kicking my self for dieing and still am *kick* *kick* *bad jason bad**snif* and i think u need to beable to change there faces.

MalTheDestroyer responds:

Well, erm, it does say in the tutorial that saving is the most important lesson... Yeah, sorry. I guess I could have made it autosave, but then if you ever screwed up, you'd basically be screwed.

not for me..

i wasn't really for this one....
