Reviews for "Smashin' [landscapers remix]"

hey bro

i love you bye.
call me 3x3-49x-44x1.

It's better than alright

It's driving, energetic and dark. Great beats, atmospheric pads and wonderfully warm and groovin' bassline.

Loved the break/build with the tamblas/congas, so nice. I like the noise effects you've got going on though it seems a little too sparse, like maybe something else could've been going on during the lul as well.

Especially cool when you bring in the arp lead.

Honestly, this is sooooo close to a 10/10, everything about this song was great, -except- for between 4:10 and the end. The rhythm section gets way too busy at this point and all sorts of weird clipping and noise gaps start appearing.

Besides that, helluva tune man. :)

This is

the only other song I've listened to by you besides Blue Mood, which is still awesome btw, and I'm really liking this. It's simple and really catchy. I like it. :D

Hmmmm.. It's alright.

You should have released Hypnose after this xD. Everything sounds bad compared to it. Hypnose was a crazy fuckin song dude, and it made me favorite you lol. This isn't bad, just not as good :p

solid work but many minor issues

Actually I like the style and the sound choices, it all sounds great and comes together nicely but there are some more or less minor issues that hold it down for me. I like the bassmod and the warm morphing sound is cool but you could have done something to give it some more content. It sounds great alone I guess but its weak and thin, it needs to come through u know? The other sounds drown it and hold it back. Perhaps more distortion with eq and compression could do something.

The Drums really need more compression in my opinion, I hardly feel the kick here. The sample choice was alright tho. The Snare is also great and goes well with the kick but thats all, the hihats were nothing I'd find worth remembering, the have no character for me.

The beeping in the intro sounded nice and relaxing, cool and simple melody. When it builds up at 1:17 the bass sounded almost right btw. The drums kick in and the bassline comes up but fails to stay consistent, the mod sadly takes out the energy and thins it out at many points. But its good you brought in some fade-ins into the first half of the drop, without them it would have sounded very empty but still a few more fill-ins or melodies would have improved it.

* After the second buildup, the drop bass didn't sound as impressive as before for some reason, it got repetitive the 3 times I heard the track now.

The Arp at the second half of the second drop was VERY annoying to me, you didn't bring it in at all, you just dropped it. I was surprised (negatively) because the melody just cae out of nowhere and changed the entire style of the song from dnb to videogame music. The synth and the melody are just too strong, you instantly relate it to a sonic game or something like that. That was the part I liked the least personaly.

The Outro at 4:56 sounds so great again therefor, why didn't you keep that style the whole track??? It sounds awesome, calm choirs, nice ambient in the backgrounds, deep oomph bass gives a nice contrast :) Tbh I liked the intro / outro more than the whole rest...

Still solid and better than the most here on ng so its a 7/10 and a 4/5
