Reviews for "Landslide- Cayler"

fantastic

I stumbled upon this song a year ago, but for some reason, i never got around to writing a review on it. So I'm doing it now.
Landslide was a song I heard a lot as a kid, mostly the cover by the Dixie Chicks. My neighbour always played their stuff, but this was one of the only ones that really stuck with me.
When I saw this landslide cover, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect that on Newgrounds. When I heard the song, though. I was blown away. The soft piano, though repetitive, is not by any means annoying. The slow strings along with the very gentle vocals just worked with the song. You didn't try to do anything extremely crazy with it to make it your own. You kept true to the original, which I genuinely appreciate. After listening, this automatically became my favourite version of 'Landslide', even over the original or the dixie chicks cover. I sent this to my family immediately and still have it on my media player in my room and listen to it a lot. It's fantastic. Thank you for making this. Ten stars for sure.

Cayler responds:

Thank you, you don't know how much it means to me to know that you have brought this song into your world and made it a part of your daily life. That's what I want from my works, for people to be affected by and understand the beauty I'm trying to share with everyone. :)

Beautiful.

Your voice is so pure and I adore in this song. :D
I want to steal your voice for a collab someday.

Cayler responds:

Thanks for telling me, I actually don't know as many details about her as I should for covering one of her songs. lol

Beautiful

Hey Cayler, it's been a while

As a musical review this is an absolutely beautiful rendition of this song; I think it's the first time I ever heard a man sing it, and I don't think anyone else could have done it better. You have just the right smooth gentle voice for it. The piano placing the guitar was also a good idea! Absolutely wonderful.
On a personal note, this song always gets me. I'm the youngest member of my family, and the day I graduated my mother and I celebrated at this little karaoke place we always love to go to. She decided to sing this song, and about halfway through it she suddenly realized the gravity of the lyrics, now completely identifying with them as she realized that that was the day I was officially grown up. Immediately she began to tear up, and as she continued to sing they just continued to fall. It was a really touching moment to me, and hearing this song stirs those memories. Don't ever stop singing okay?

Cayler responds:

I'm glad that songs holds so much meaning for you and that you like my rendition of it. And don't u worry, I'll never stop singing, unless of course I get in an accident and lose my voice box or something. lol

Very nice
