Reviews for "Final Splatters 2"

not bad

I like it. But for how long have you been making this? I remember it from like 2003 or something... Anyway it was pretty good. Could be more original though.

Thanks =)
We were discussing in MSN about story based flash games in 2003, which led me to start Final Splatters 1 (took me a year =( ).
Final Splatters 2 took me 5 months.

Sweet

I dont really like those types of games but this one was alright

only improvement i could think of was u cant kill someones body only the head

I have to agree with the previous reviewer.

On all counts no less. (The one offering graphics advice incase I'm slow getting this out)

Get yourself a decent copy of photoshop or the gimp and learn how to use it and wou'll be able to turn out much better backgrounds. Also, 24 FPS is considered animation by the MPAA.

The point and click interface will only get you so far, and even then you're not using much of its potential. Most of the game is find 1-2 things, kill 1-4 guys in the process and then open that door you couldn't open, which results in a very linear experience. About the only part of the game that wasn't entirely linear was central park, but don't rely on the trick you used there too much as it could get annoying real fast.

Anyways, it's an action game, so try spicing it up with some generic action type things that /involve/ the player. Like with the lock picking, I think most games now give the player something to do while picking a lock, it could be as simple as click four buttons, just so long as it's something different from the rest of the game. Some of the classic action things you might want to try incorporating the player in are, fighting whilst on a motorcycle, rigging an explosive device, and hacking. Oh and rocket launcher against infantry in relative close quarters? Puh-leaze, by the time you managed to fire that at someone they'd have already shot you in the head.

You've got a decent, if cliche story, so spice it up with some better graphics, some better sounds - if you can find some - and a bit more engrossing gameplay experience and you've got a front pager.

Needs a lot of work

-You definately need some art classes.
-Please increase the Frame Rate (frames per second), it is very choppy right now
-The plant you encounter in the beginning has an overly dramatic shadow. Use the "Alpha" property of colors to make shadows more realistic
-Limit gradient use, it looks cheesy

Good Points:
-Nice layout, some cool menu effects
-Good interactivity

Keep working and you'll make a front pager!

Thanks for your helpful comments, but I'd like to see you make one.

Not bad, but not really very good either.

It was basically just trial and error, but it was relatively fun. Stick figures smell, so try adding more detail to the locations and characters next time. The graphics were very simple.
I like the sniper bit. The plot was horrendously cliched but I didn't expect anything more, after all, professionally manufactured games rarely contain involving plots!
Try and add more variation in gameplay next time. I found the grunts and groans funny, but that's a good thing really!
I played it until the end so it can't have been that bad.
