The climactic battle!
One of the disagreements I have with your music stylings (and it's a small one, I swear!) is that some of your battle music (mainly this) would work better as boss music in my mind. Of course, it's awesome either way. I love this battle theme, and it's my favorite of yours, although I think the climactic tones in here are a bit too much for a simple battle. I use this for when the hero fights somebody important to the story. I'm actually quite curious when you say it didn't turn out like you thought it would, because this is a pretty dang nice piece of music here- I'm especially a fan of the piano and strings working together like that.
