Random stuff is ok, but there is a lot of it out there. In fact more and more. If I had not seen so much of it I guess I would give higher marks.
The song is about being trendy. You could have concentrated more on people who follow trends or those who are supposed to be trendy. I'm thinking of spoofs. Its a great spoof song.
It was a little funny. Watched it twice to make a better judgement. To see if I missed out on something.

The aniamtion was devided into little snippets and we knew we wanted to make the naimaiton random, so making social commentary was probably a bit out of the question. hough I guess you could be right.

Very random animation. Great song choice too! Reel Big Fish are that kind of band where when you hear one of their songs, you can easily identify that it is in fact them. Did that make any sense? What I'm trying to say is you hear one of their songs, you know their style (what with the singers singing voice and the trumpets) and you hear another song of theirs but aren't sure at first if it's theirs, but then you hear the trumpets and the voice, and then you know who it is.
Anywas, I'll quit my rambling and you keep up your random flash animations. Bye!
