The First one left MUCH to be desired...
...and this one pulled through. I loved the acting, the action scenes, everything. Here's my only complaints, though they aren't really neccesary:
Unconvincing Acting -
Though the fight was greatly choreographed (and not many could do better) it did have it's flaws. Let's start with the beginning. The stair chase had great camera angles, but you didn't sell the part. I thought that you were ready to go somewhere and you were waiting for a friend. A friend, with extra emphasis on not an enemy. The fight was good, but some of it looked completely freestyle and unrehearsed. Whenever someone is about to kill you and they are about to kick you down, I'd expect more of a falling back than a, "Boy, I'm tired. Let me leisurely sit down then lay." Overall, it was great though.
Not enough concentration on the "CdRom" -
Let's face it: This is easily classified as a spoof of "The Ring." What completed the movie? I don't mean conclusion, but what made it such a thrill to watch? The mystery of the videotape. Well, not so much the "mystery," of it, but moreso the details to it. Who is the stick? What was he? Where did he come from? Who made the CDRom? Why did they make it? All simple questions that could be covered in the next one :).
