Reviews for "Addicts Anonymous"

Hahahahaha.

The sound quality was a bit fuzzy but I liked your voice man. Im addicted to stereotypes bro hahahahahaha.

JaShinYa responds:

Glad you found it entertaining! Pisses me off that that fuzzy noise wasn't just my headphones. Means somethings wrong with my hundred dollar mic. Hopefully the comp will be judged by only the voice acting? haha

Thanks again!

Here's what I'll send in...

Acting: Some personalities were more believable than others, and some seemed to be stuttering before saying the right words. I know most people don't talk very fluently but this seemed a little overdone, almost too improvised.

Fit: All voices were done well, and they fit their corresponding characters with almost stereotypical precision... in a good way though.

Originality: Even though it was an overused subject, the addictions were very unique, and it is quite entertaining to visualize these people's addictions.

Range: All characters have their own distinction, and it was pulled off quite nicely. I think two characters sounded a little too similar, but since the dialogue is so rapid-fire it's not too noticeable.

Mixing: (at first) There's nice background chatter, and the music fit nicely... I could hardly spot any pops or hard letters, and the volume was very even throughout the- (suddenly) FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUCCKKK!!?! Take that goddamn cricket chirp out... I think my ears are bleeding!

I'm thinking your strong points were in the "Fit" & "Originality" categories.

I really dug the improv style of humor even though some lines were over-the-top, it still adds to the presentation.

JaShinYa responds:

Thanks very much for the great review! A lot of people have been telling me about that cricket thing. It didn't seem that loud for me so I'm not sure what happened. haha.
The improv was a lot of fun, but I might try a script next time and see how it goes.
Thanks again! Can't wait to see the final results!

Ok wow, you had a lot of variety here. There is ONE THING YOU NEED. Please, get yourself an AT2020 MICROPHONE! You could REALLY do well in voice acting. These characters were all very great. LOL, the gay guy is addicted to tits? Doesn't that mean he isn't gay-ahh nevermind that's the joke I gettt itt muwahahaha oh that's good. I had a similar skit like this done a while ago where a group of people were at an AA meeting. WTF, the black guy is addicted to sterotypes? This is really original lol. LOL HIS WHITE. Ahahahhaahahaaaaaa. Im addicted to addicts. I like pinis im cured.

Great job overall, please get yourself a nice mic so you can voice act! AT2020 is what I seriously recommend. I have recommended it to others and it has worked great for them. Its what I use! The only thing I have to say is that the ending wasn't very original, so minu 5 on originality but everything else was really great. Good job!

Addicts Anonymous-If this guy improved his audio quality, I'd probably hire him for African American roles on projects I'm responsible for casting in addition to my voice performances. He's got a great array of them and that's unique to the industry right now.
