Astonishing work; I agree with the poster that said you should send a portfolio to Wizards of the Coast- this is exactly the caliber art you'd expect to see on a Magic: The Gathering card.

In general, though, this piece is really wicked. I love your realistic style even with a fantasy piece, not to mention the creepy pose that really conveys a strong sense of eeriness.

Oh and, I don't know if anyone else noticed it, but the semi-hidden skull in the fog near the bottom-right cross is a nice touch.

Top notch work, following your stuff undoubtedly.

There are actually more hidden things however you can't really se them that well in this resolution. On the cross to the left I wrote the title of the song I was listening to when finishing this image (Dead Eyes See No Future by Arch Enemy). On the cross to the right I wrote something as a tribute to my favourite artist (It says "I <3 Beksiński") and on the top of the creepy thing's head I wrote a quote from a book I was reading (It's the famous Friedrich Nietzsche quote "God is Dead").

I did something similar with my first professional job, doing an album cover for a band. Super tiny in the far corner there was a hard surface where I painted some scratch marks saying "Hail Satan" or something dumb like that. The band contacted me two years later to say that they found it and loved me for it. Haha.

Thanks! I've actually done a few album covers for heavy metal/hardcore bands. Fun jobs where I get to paint weird stuff :)
