WONDERFUL!
I have seen some fighting games... and I have seen some fighting games. Dad 'n Me is the closest I thought to a fighter, but I believe this one takes the cake.
The graphics were beautiful... the music was well constructed. The characters even have Japanese fighting game winning poses! I am amazed, awed, and surprised. Because I was completely blown away by this, I'm going to give you a ten out of ten on most EVERYTHING.
However, I will give you one or two things I thought made great additional ideas (not necessarily that yours were bad, but what I think would make it better.) Granted, this takes up extra space, but anyway...
I loved the voices... could you add individual voice actors to each? The "Yatta yo!" was so cool at the end of one of them. I didn't even have to make it through the game to know I definately liked it. Also, the fact that you got knocked down every time you were hit ... maybe if you hit a special combo, you can land on your feet? Blocking with your back turned doesn't work (well, why would it?) like I'm used to in fighting games, so at least being sharp enough to prevent it is nice.
I think it's excellent that it's not just "whomp 'em stomp 'em," but judging by each move, you have to TIME it correctly. I was totally blown away by the advanced techniques used here.
Also, the dialogue ... could you make it so you had to press a button in order for it to continue? That way, people can read the text before they're finished talking.
Other than that, I have to pass this around so much. I've never read the comic, and personally I think this little game is going to give it such a popularity boost...
