The first time I heard this was probably over a year ago, and it still gives me chills every single time I listen to it. An epic story plays out in my mind without fail. I don't really have anything constructive to contribute, I just wanted you to know that I thoroughly enjoy this.

I'm not a composer or anything, so I hardly write any reviews, but here I just had to, even though that means I can't really be "helpful" or something.
To my (admittedly untrained) ear, this is just great. The beginning, the middle, the end, it's all great. I heard this first in "Light up the Sky" and fell in love with it.

By the way, do you know the TV series "Hornblower"? The first couple of seconds remind me - beautifully - of one of the main themes.

Perfection

By far the most impressive piece of audio I've ever heard here on Newgrounds.
I really have no words for this but yet, I feel the strong need to give you my thoughts.

There really is nothing to complain about, both the composer and performers got skills!

Very nice

This was a very satisfying song to listen to, because it just had so much going for it! I just find it hilarious that it was used in a game called "Throw Rocks At Shit". This is great because it starts off extremely soft and finally goes into an uproar! The uproar does not really start until the last minute, which is really my only complaint. There are times where it is so soft it's hard to listen to it. That is a compliment as it shows how subtle you can be with your music.

It reminds me of the classic music by those old composers. I thought of that also because you have an old timey photo as your icon picture. It's great to know of someone who enjoys that classic stuff but still knows how to appeal to the masses. While I was anticipating the harder stuff, the lighter stuff was a bit more classy. The notes are all quite adequate.

Overall, a great performance! I love the effort and the enthusiasm that the whole orchestra brings out in this piece. Although...

The violins at 0:18 was a bit rough with the high notes, but got it the second time around 0:22. Also, the harmony was out of tune at 0:20 which made me cringe a little. Also a rough patch was the section of the transition at 0:57. It started out ok but by 0:59 - 1:00 one of the french horns was a hair sharp.

Everything up to 2:12 was fairly smooth and passionate, I liked it! at 2:12 again, violins again where not in tune with each other. Finally, the last problem was at 2:51, violins came in a tad earlier than the rest of the melody, so it gave an awkward pause. A must for this orchestra is that for the last big push before the end (in this case 2:49 - end) must be as perfect as you can get it because it will leave a mark on the judges, similar to savoring the last bite of a meal.

Again, very well executed!

P.S. I'm sorry if I pick on the violins a lot, I played the violin for 9 years and I have a knack for catching things :P
