This is full of great detail, it explains everything and shows how to do everything with images. This should make new grounds tutorial section for sure!
It also helped me figure out how to make a timer for a movie I'm making to go off and fire a SFX off and all that :)

I just want to congratulate you on making one of the best tutorials I've ever seen. Everything is explained so thoroughly that you can't possibly not get it done. Also, you provided a source .fla document which most people don't do and this is the first time I've seen someone actually explain every part of the ActionScript they have used in such detail. This tutorial was very very helpful. Thanks a lot for making it. 5/5

Hmm
I don't really see the point of this. I cannot think of a situation for making an alarm clock. However, as far as flash goes, this is a good quality submission, providing clear and concise steps to making the clock.
