xapheerthesilver, you are absolutely right, Bass is pronounced "base", just like rather low frequency sound waves :P There's Treble (his dog) and Bass, both sound-based names, and in japanese their names are Gospel and Forte, related to music. So there's your evidence, all who call Bass a fish, all your Bass are belong to us :P
(Hope that doesn't look rude, I'm just pointing out stuff)
