Some tips, cheats

The main cheat I have to offer is how the passcode system works. You have two numbers, separated by a dash. The first number tells you how many potions and weapons you have and also how much gold. The second number tells you how much health you have, what screen you are in, and what magic spells you have. The best way to explain it is by example.
For the first number of the passcode,
123400093 TIMES 7 = 863800651
So, if the first number of your passcode is 863800651, this means that you have 1 small potion, 2 medium potions, 3 large potions, 4 weapons, and 93 gold, as you can see by looking at the number on the left. Note the multiplication by 7. The gold must be a five digit number and the other numbers should be single digit.

For the second number of the passcode,
381915 TIMES 307 = 117252817
So if the second number of your passcode is 117252817, then you have 38 health, are in screen 19, and have "15" for your spells. The explanation of "15" has to do with binary numbers, but instead of explaining that I'll just say if your spell # is
01 -- you have 1 spell
03 -- 2 spells
07 -- 3 spells
15 -- 4 spells
31 -- 5 spells
63 -- 6 spells
So in this case you have 4 spells. Note the multiplication by 307 this time instead of 7.

I also have some tips. Tip 1: Run quickly past all monsters except bosses instead of fighting them. You lose less health this way. Tip 2: If you decide to get money the fair way instead of by cheating, you can get money fastest by killing green blobs--lure 4 of them to attack you, and then you can dodge their bounces and hit them when they land.

I also have a problem. How the hell do I open up that top chamber after killing the red ninjas in the battlemage fortress? It just stays locked. Of course I could transport myself into the locked region using a passcode, but I'd rather follow the plot of the game.

Arclite83 responds:

Wow! Nice job cracking my code, seriously! Didn't think anyone would do that, lol. How you cracked the primes just floors me, lol.

As to the ninjas; it's a bug, doesn't happen all the time, and I'm not sure. It has to do with having 2 'bosses' on one screen. Some people can fix this by re-fighting the ninjas, others are locked out of both basement and upstairs, and are stuck.

Update: 6 months since my last game, and I'm working on BMII. It'll be more of a 'river sity ransom' or 'tmnt manhattan project' style game.

A little cheat

I figured out part of how the saved game feature works. I could figure out more but I got what I need right now. It appears that the first set of numbers for the saved game contains certain information, TIMES SEVEN. It goes like this: (potion1)(potion2)(potion3)followed by a 3 followed by a five digit number indicating how much gold you have, and then multiply that whole number by 7. For example, for 999 gold, and 9 of each kind of potion, the number you want is
999300999 * 7 = 6995106993.
I don't know what the second number is at the moment. Suffice it to say that 6995106993-153838007 starts you with a silver sword, 9 of each potion, 999 gold, at the town before the werewolves.

Not great, not awful.

The field graphics were... okay... but as soon as it entered a cutscene it didn't look all that great. the dialogue was annoyingly softer than the music, so I had to turn up and down my speakers to adjust. It also would be less annoying if when you jumped you could turn without rocketing off in that direction. I died a couple times at the swamp plant because of this. Not a lot to do in this game, unfortunatly, and not a lot of character customization (even in stats would be nice). All in all, a game that fell short of its potential.

Fun!

This was a twist from the usual RPG, I found it quite fun to play; the only complaint I have is the difficulty, for me it was kinda hard to earn the money for potions, because sometimes, when I'd be killing stuff, theyd stop dropping money for 2mins. Overall, its a very nice game, and I can't wait for the next version.

look down there ^_^

You gave this entry a 1, lowering its score from 3.5782 to 3.5773!
YAY!!!!!
I gave overall a 2 because at least it's something.
(I'm a dark aura so don't ask)
