Reviews for "Dr. Shroud in: BITB Pt. 2"

Fantastic

Amazing style and graphics. I didn't see the first one but now I know I have too since I liked this one so much. The amount of work you put into this is clearly evident in the product. Can't wait for the conclusion episode.

Very nice, just as good as the first!

This was a really cool movie i must admit, i was surprised to see it drop in score so much since yesterday, but that didnt change what i thought about it. It was awesome in each aspect, this shows you care about how well your movies are done, you put effort into each aspect, and even some extras like storyline and feeling. This also reminded me of a great game i started playing today, Indigo Prophecy. Anyways here is my review.

The graphics were awesome, they were impressive right from the start. I will say the one thing that brought it down right away and its the animation. It simply wasnt fluent enough for a 10, and many times i found it too slow. But other than that they were just awesome. The drawings were very detailed, especially in the people drawings, they have great facial features and the colours were also very good. Great backrounds as well! The style was was aweosme, the story seemed well thought through and fairly complex. The presentation was good sometimes, kind of eerie at times. Sorry to say that at other times it was a bit too slow, but that was just caused by the slow animation i think. The sound was also really nicely done other than the fact that the quality wasnt the greatest. The voice acting was excellent for the most part, so nice job overall on the sound.

Overall this was a good movie, very long, well presented and just a good choice if youre looking for a good movie. I hope the next episode will be as good as this or even better!

stupìd, dumb, gay and totally incomprihensible. In other words fucking brilliant.

like the last guy said

It's FUCKING BRILLIANT!
I love the cheesy greenblack 50's horror effect. Like watching a true classic

This episode brings up some questions

Was Laura's mom turned into a zombie and if so was the mentioned infection spread by bite or something else? Also this episode and the web site imply that Dr. Shroud is/was married; what happened to his wife ? Did she die, did the marriage fall apart after Wendy was kidnapped or am I way off in thinking he doesn't live with her? There are certain questions about Necropolis that need to be expanded on. Also is it me or was it a bit dark outside for 5pm? Questions and maybe some gripes about the characters' movements and facial expressions aside there is something good about this series so I hope I didn't come off as discouraging or overly rude. Keep up the good work.

robfeldman responds:

No, this is all encouraging stuff! I love when people have questions, especially good ones like yours, so thanks. First off, I should say that most questions will be answered in the live action feature film, but I will do my best to explain here. The animated stories are intended to be self contained brief snapshots in the life of Dr. Shroud, reserving chronological plotlines and subplots for other mediums (aforementioned film, comics, etc.).

That said, here you go:

"Was Laura's mom turned into a zombie and if so was the mentioned infection spread by bite or something else? "

She was infected by a bite from the rampant vampire infection in Necropolis.

"Also this episode and the web site imply that Dr. Shroud is/was married; what happened to his wife ? "

Married, currently separated. She's in the feature script.

"There are certain questions about Necropolis that need to be expanded on. Also is it me or was it a bit dark outside for 5pm?"

Necropolis will be explained eventually. It's always dark at 5PM in Necropolis. Think of it as perpetually Fall.

Making characters move better nowadays. :)

Thanks,
Rob
