the game is called Dark Cloud 2 (also known as Dark Chronicle)
It was released for the PS2 by a company Called Level 5 studios,
i highly suggest you check it out, the soundtrack is great =]

It sounds a lot like the original, but even still, it is a really good song!
Ever since I have stumbled upon this song around 6-7 years ago , I have always come back to it and comfort myself with it.
I do not know where you are creator but let me say that you have grasped the original feeling of the song quite well with its softer piano tune !
