Omg. I would love to see a tutorial, or at least a speed painting, of something like this. I can't even begin to understand how this was done in 20 minutes. I mean, I know it's very rough, but I really like that aspect of this. It's way more artistic than a really smoothly painted character concept would be. And the colors are just phenomenal!

I start with a silhoutte usually ... just of a figure... modifying it quickly with a few strokes... big brushes... the rest is just some tricks here and there which seem to speed things up. There are speed paintings on youtube if you search '8bit ego pixel vision'
