Reviews for "GreenCastle: DoubleExodus"

Your best work yet.

And I mean this entirely. I simply love this RPG! Please..PLEASE..make haste with making the sequel! I'm looking foward to the next installment.

Graphics: 8. The drawings were simple (well, most were), but, if I haven't heard of NewGrounds, knew you in real life, and saw your drawings on a piece of paper, I would've given it a ten. It's just the fact that there are better drawings that are known on NewGrounds.

Style: A ten. Very, very RPG-Like. There's a save, load, and new game system; complete with random battles, bosses, a statistic system with equipment; it deserves a ten!

Violence: Mild Tackles. A two.

Interactivity: A six. The save system, subscreen (everything in it), the simple movement system, and the options in the battle screen; a seven.

Humor: None.

Overall Score: A nine.

ok not bad but this isent rely a rpg to me

rpg u can train well u cant train in your game because monsters only appear certain places that pissed me off because i like to train damit sooooooo make a random battle system that way fights are random besides that it wasent that bad but still make the battles random kk i c your making a new rpg well take this in to effect damit and good work and ummmmmmmm ya keep it up and hustle damit i love rpgs soooo give me a heads up when it will be readt and peace oh ya and this is the longest review i ever submitted so okiedokie

Nice!

This was really great..

The graphics were good, but they weren't perfect. No offense, but it was mostly rectangles and square, trees; alot of shapes with some detail..

The style recieves a ten! I like it how you can upgrade your statistics and encounter random battles. You also leveled up in a way, was able to equip new weapons, ect. Very RPG-Like.

The sound was great. The battle music was the best (IMO), and the world map music fit the background perfectly.

Violence..? Not too much. Just tackles and stuff.

Interactivity! Press the play button, press the arrow keys to move, upgrade, equip, unequip, battle..recieves an eight.

Humor? I don't think so..

Overall Score: 9

Some constructive critisism

1. Can't have everyone in party (maybey the style of the artist, but I personally cringe when I see someone say "sorry, our party is full" I mean think about it doesn't make sense, and plus, you see everyones backstory so you don't have to replay the WHOLE thing all over *Zzzz*)
2. Not enough character personification (backstory)
3. good music
4. no crappy inflating/deflating goblins, that just looks bad >.>.
5. Better enemy movements (see above)
6. Ending sucked (no spoiler: I didn't beat it with all combinations of people (I used your's for the ending), but man did that ending feel underwhelming)
7. Movement original, and not too tricky.
8. It was a VERY good difficulty. Didn't really have to spend too much time leveling up. It was very nice to actually play through and RPG leisurly instead of hours to level for next boss.
9. Walkthrough was nice, but maybey include possible breaks/poison/etc...
10. MAKE ANOTHER DAMNIT

GreenCastle responds:

Wow, that's a long review.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm not going to respond to every point except by saying that all of your critisisms are intelligent and valid, and I will try my best to improve on my next RPG, which I am actually working on right now. This time I'm serious! -_-

THE BEST GAME IN THE WORLD

Excellent game even though i didnt beat it yet. I GOT SO CLOSE TO BEATING the meuferous GUY so close he had 70 health or something and he used ultimate kana and killed me. A good strategy is for Ben to use weak whenever he can and greencastle to stomp and crush him, when hes weakened twice, greencastles reguler attack does a smashing 450! 1400 with crush=D
