Reviews for "Project Inthri 2"

Great game, but you'll need a heavy-duty mouse.

First, let me get one thing straight--this is a GREAT game. The movement control is flawless, the powerups are good, the storyline is wonderful, and the music rocks. One of the neatest features of this little gem is the constantly-changing background which switches from outer space to the entry of a gas-giant's atmosphere to the planet's rocky core to several other great scenes.

However, the game isn't perfect. While the background graphics are well-done in classic Flash style, the actual ships(and characters) look as if they have been done in MSPaint or some other bare-bones image editor. Also, there's no autofire, a major minus for whoever plays it on a laptop touch-pad like I did. Your index finger will feel ready to fall off by the time you get around to beating the game. Perhaps there will be autofire in a future version.

As it is, this game is wonderful, but it could be even better with some graphics and control polish.

GOTS ID @ STOOORAY!

Excellent shooter

I have to say, this is the best shooter I've found on NG as of yet. Not much I can criticize except for the way FX looks when outside his ship. I'd definately try to add a curve to the people's shoulders so they don't all look like rectangles. :p Graphics-wise, nothing overly special here, but I did really enjoy the moving backgrounds and how they constantly changed. I even found myself watching those instead my own ship sometimes! That was my favorite part
and you did a great job on that.

I gave you a 10 for style because it still has the feel of a shooter to it, and you tried some new things as well, and it even has a good plotline, which is much more than I can say for other shooters I've played. Normally they all boil down to something like this: "O NoES!! ALI3NS!!!!! SH00T 3M g00D!!!!!!" I am HIGHLY thankful that you put a new spin on this idea, and I think your intro was well thought-out as well. You even managed to throw in a bit of humor in the end, too, that fit in will with the story.

If you are thinking of a sequel, I think you should add a few more weopons, such as missiles or a vulcan-type gun. If you're up to it, it would be fantastic to throw in a co-op mode, and maybe a difficulty level tougher than "hard". Oh, and you MUST do the moving background thing again; it was great! Overall, I think it is an awesome game, and you definately have talent. Hope I helped, and keep up the good work!

fantastic

the animation in this game is of course begginer to others but combined with the music and the great scenery this is definetly one of my favorite games on newgrounds!

Pretty nice

Things I liked:

-Fairly fast-paced. Early levels a bit slow, but it gets better after a couple.
-Mouse control is ridiculously accurate, if a tad awkward.
-The space battles between the fleets were awesome.
-Last couple of bosses were good fights.
-Loved the events througout the game (i.e. the battles, the glass breaking during the fight, etc.)

Things I wished could be improved upon:

-The hitbox was grotesquely large. I couldn't even get near a bullet without grazing my shields.
-A more "manic" style would have been cool, with a smaller hitbox, and tons more bullets. Then again, I couldn't say whether or not that would work on flash...
-The weapons were kind of bland. They lack style and intuition, and I didn't feel the need to use anything besides the laser and rapid fire.
-Wish there was a bit more variety in enemies and their attacks. The last couple of bosses were awesome, wish there was more of that.
