Odd and funny, I like it!
Pretty funny and it gave me a laugh. However, It doesn't really have enough replay value and isn't too original (like you mentioned) so at the moment a 5 minute chuckle is all we get out of this to be honest.
First off, graphics. Well obviously there was a lack of graphics since the screen was all black apart from a little cut-out photograph square. I acknowledge that that photograph style works, It has to, I mean the whole point of this game is guessing what it is isn't it? If you drew it and we didn't get it right it might be down to your artistic skills. Still, the title at the beginning was good and intriguing, especially with that bubble writing and giant question mark. All I would suggest is that whilst you are going to have an 80% blank screen you could at least make it something more exciting than black. For example, how about a brightly coloured animated background? It makes the game look AND feel cool.
Next, sound. I was pretty disappointed with the sound in “What is it?” to be honest, because there was an extreme lack of it. In fact, I think the only sounds you had was when you pushed the sounds button and clicked the buttons. Why not add some background noise, such as a selection (doesn't necessarily have to be big) of music choices for your player to pick from? When you meet everybody's preference you genuinely can't go wrong, and otherwise it gives the game a bit of a 'mute' feeling to it. I was disappointed when all you get is a clicking noise when you choose your option and that apart from the title of the picture you don't get any sounds signifying if you got it right or wrong. I'd really like to see a dramatic sound effect when you get it wrong and a congratulations sound when you get 10/10.
Finally, game-play. I think despite the lack of sounds and graphics, this is where this game really shines. It reminded me a little of "Boobs, Butt or shoulder?" only much more gross in some parts and taking the identifying beyond just those 3 things. It was certainly a challenge! I was surprised many times about how I thought the picture was one thing, had turned out to be completely different, it also gave me a good laugh at some times. The poo thing wasn’t very funny but it made me chuckle nonetheless and was disgusting like some of the other pictures, I love a weird game that grosses me out!
However, I still do think that sound would accompany this a great deal, the thing I noticed about this was that whilst it is entertaining it isn't very exciting, you need to play on the drama a bit more. For example how about making this more of a challenge? Like adding more options to choose from and a timer that counts down, you have limited time to guess and music gets faster and faster as the clock ticks nearer down. I just think that though this is a challenge, it loses pretty much all of its replay value when you get 10/10. Which is why you should make a few more pictures and add them in if you made a sequel, and also randomise the order of the pictures. I know that after I chose some of the pictures I knew exactly the order of the answers the next time. You need to avoid that.
Overall a pretty original and odd game,, which I like. It certainly grossed me out a few times and gave me a good chuckle for 5 minutes, but I just feel that if you do not improve on the replay value a bit in a sequel than a 5 minute chuckle is really the only thing this will be good for. I personally like this game, and would hate to see it played once by many users and then just forgotten about and dumped straight after, this is something I want to come back to over and over again. I was bad at it and only got 5/10 but I just don't care. I hope you found my suggestions helpful, and well done :)

wow, do i suck, i only got 2 right, then i played it again and got 10/10.. woo, i still suck though...the whole thing with the "poo" in the toliet was nasty as hell.
