Beat it Twice
Wow, this game is absolutely amazing, the first time I played it I didn't even know there was a human portal. So I trained and used the merchant to get strong enough to eventually beat the monster portal. When the guy said I still wasn't a great enough warrior to go to the Dark Rift room, I got really pissed and started searching for anything I had missed. Human Portal was weak compared to the monster but I ended up beating everything. Anyways, on to the review.
Graphics - 8
The Environments could have been drawn more 3Dimensionally and more detailed characters would have helped.
Style - 9
Very ninja and ninja is allways cool.
Sound - 8.5
Nothing to spectacular, although there were few flaws.
Violence - 9
The fighting didn't seem to grotesque, but fights occured often.
Interactivity - 9
Not all the objects in the environments were fully interactive, but I must say, the moon and the ring was a nice touch.
Humor - 0
There's nothing funny about ninjas.
Improvements:
- Give an option to re-fight enemies in the protals
- Improve the money making system by including a "Sell All" option. So I could highlight the medicine and click "Sell All" and not have to do so much clicking. Alternatively, a larger variety of money making missions would be helpful
- Improve the backgrounds, even Double Dragon had better.
- Have more dropped items from monsters. I would have really liked to have had that Golem's Shield...
All in all, good job, an above average game.
