Reviews for "Cry of War { Ambient Metal }"

Pretty good

It was pretty good, very ambient, started out like it had alot of emotion, but the melody kinda carried on for too long. My advice to you bro, keep up the strings, piano and such, just vary it a bit, it will keep the audience on their toes, thus making it a more enjoyable listen

Over all quite nice

Great

This is really good

I REALLY like the strings and the whole melody

It would have been a 10 (I wish I could give a 9.9) but it just wasn't heavy enough
You had a really drawn out intro that could have EXPLODED!!!

Overall tho
Sweet, I can see where people would use this

You got a real rock opera goin' on, dude.

I like the soft begining, it was unique and interesting. I also like how you encorperated the strings into your gutairs. The melodies were original too.

Please come out with more like these, man.
1000/10. 5000/5

Very Intriguing...

This really has an amazing quality to it from the very beginning. I do think the intro went a little long though. Maybe tighten that section up a bit.

I'm not crazy about the guitar part, but it is the feeling and mood you are going for. So I won't hold it against you. You did well to create an ambient metal piece. Although I'm not completely convinced I would say it is ambient. But that is just me.

The melodies are awesome man! Really, you have written some great melody lines. And how you've almost hidden them in the tune is a very cool feel.

The drums really fit the style you were going for as well. Nothing too complicated, but they changed enough to keep from getting stale. Nice job on the drums.

I love the section around the 3:40 mark where the guitars fall out. Very classy touch there man. Very classy indeed.

The mix you created is nearly perfect. I really love where everything stands in the mix. Everything is clear, yet leans on the rest of the ensemble to really fit their purpose. Very nicely done on the mixing for sure.

Now, my only real beef is the quality of the guitars. It sounds like they are FL Slayer guitars. I don't want to hold that against you, because I am forced to use them from time to time. But still, the guitar parts are pretty simple and laid back. I'm sure you could find someone to record the part for you if you can't do it yourself.

But as it stands, this is a very nice and fulfilling song. Great work!

4/5 and 8/10 overall. I really like the atmosphere you created.

Best of luck on future projects man!

Thanks a lot for detailed review, and thanks for your advices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
I'm working on my real guitar, but I have a problem with my soundcard, so I'm using samples. Each time I'm trying to record the guitar part, it sounds like i'm adding a chorus effect to it. Do you know how to avoid it?

Cool stuff

Pretty damn awesome, this sounds like something I'd love to throw some vocals on, even if just for practice.

And ignore the "Go fast or go home" tards... Just because it's metal, doesn't mean you have to shred. People who do nothing but shred do so because they can't play with soul. Metal is just as much about melody (Well, some sub-genres of it anyways) as it is about being heavy.
