I'll agree that it gets a wee bit repetetive - not enough to really get in the way, but just enough to make you stop and think, "oh hey" and then it switches up.
Personally, I felt that the lead synth later on in the song didn't sound up-front enough, it kinda blended into the background so that it sounded less lead-ish.
Still, an amazing song, and a good take on "Canon in D." On a slightly unrelated note, have you ever seen Rob Paravonian's comedy bit on the song?
yes i have seen that bit....lol... in fact a similar reason is why i actually made this. Nal1200 has a thread going on in the audio forums called dance chord syndrome desease or something... and it related to this... and someone sarcastically said, this makes me feel like making a canon in d remix... so i quickly through this together....lol... turned out good so i let people know.
