Jakebian rushed forward, but was too late. His closest friend, Halius, had already been pierced by the evil Regulo's spear.Jakebian caught Halius's body just as it was about to hit the ground. He rested him gently on the ground. Halius, with his dying breath, handed Jakebian his weapon. Jakebian took it, set it aside, and with shaky fingers closed Halius's eyes. He then stood up and looked straight at Regulo. There was a fiery expression in his eyes. "I'll kill you for what you have done," Jakebian said as he hefted his weapon. Regulo simply grinned and readied his own weapon. With a defiant yell, Jakebian charged.
