Reviews for "the singer (short version)"

I love this song

Great piece of music in the first place, and the static effect in the background makes it sound like vinyl or old-time radio. It would be great, though, if you could post the lyrics. I've been dying to know what you're singing.

+ Voice, - Audio

I really enjoyed your singing. I can't put my finger on it, but it reminds me of a smooth blend of John Prine and Jethro Tull. What killed this was the poor audio quality and unequalized sound. You voice should be brought stronger to the forfront.

But otherwise, keep it up! As far as I'm concerned all that's holding you back is technical pitfalls, not your talent.

2/5, 4/10

I don't like it at all. I'm sure you have put alot of effort into this, just not my kind of music.

Give you one thing....

For your effort, its an immediate 5 right there. No question. But my good friend, do you realize you have a soft voice? Instead of working your tongue around the beat, work the beat around your tongue. I'm sorry, but you'll have to settle to a new groove if you want your spoken lyrics to be appreciated in its music genre. Work with a good ballad of your kind and see how that comes out, because unlike most babbling idiots, you've definitely got some voice yet to unravel.

Needs work

The singing is not great bu i have heard worse so thats not really your problem. Your main problem is the rest of the peice. If you are going to have a song with concentration on vocals you need to back it uo with and instrumental tune that blends and strengthens the vocals. In this peice i felt that the singing jsut clished with the rest of the music to the point where it runed the entire song. for a good example look at the punk cong to be continued.
