It really takes someone with heart to actually understand the movie...a lot of people don't look at things from an art perspective and are looking do razzle dazzled with graphics...sometimes you just don't need them, you know :)

Capturing the spirit.
Though brief, I feel that what you lacked in length was made up for with the artistic quality that you displayed here. Interestingly enough, I also got an "anime" vibe from this. The light flash exposing the first samurai reminded me of Kenshin (from Rurouni Kenshin). I don't know if that was intentional, or accidental. Either way, it didn't subtract from what you were going for, which I feel is a personal vision of what the "Spirit of the Samurai" represents.
Fast and vibrant, strong animation and bold coloring -- I believe you captured the spirit pretty well. ;)

Amazing
I like it it has a confesent air around it and shows that you have much promise... I would like to see more of this kind, for not all have to be long to inspire a great deal of people... Oh and good name BTW!

...I think you understand this piece...and yes I am working on a much more "illustrated" samurai piece...although it has proven to be tiresome so I take breaks from it here and there...

Very short, yet very cool
I liked the way you did this flash. The lighting on the samurai was awesome, and the swordwork at the end was pretty cool, even if we couldn't necessarily see it. The flash was very short, of course, yet that doesn't necessarily take away from its quality. Of course I would've liked to see it longer. The flash in itself was very simple, which works for what it was.

By the way, were those japanese words in the begining real, or was

they were real...they spelt "Samurai" to my knowledge...idk I used a Japanese font, I assumed that's what it meant, but I am sure there is a katakana for samurai, must have just been the letters in Japanese...
yeah it was short...Im working on a more intense piece now...it's taking me forever though...
