Reviews for "Gandalf's Dead Cover"

Had to turn the speakers up.

But still, a very nice song. You use a variety of simple yet heart warming pads that fill one up with emotion and wonder. I like the tunes you use in there as well! 13 ywar olds will fall head over heals for this sort of stuff (Cause they search for epic music like this from my experience)

You and I are very closely related when it comes to making ambience music. We NEED to have a collab together. What do you say?

Before you decide, try listening to some of my music like (::Towards The Sun::) =FINAL=. Make sure to click the one that says =FINAL=

Another tune that expresses my thoughts would be (::Windsnow::) V1. It is a new one, so you can find it on the front of my userpage.

Well I hope this makes you want to do a collab with me.

NOTE: You are new at this right? Well make sure to ignore all those who put you down because they only look at weither it is a hard piece to make or not. They dont care if it sounds good. This piece was 'easy' to make because it is just playing long notes over and over again. But what they dont have the mindset for is the complexity of the meaning of the song. The choords, the overwhelming echoes and background white noise. And even the surreal experience of it putting you to sleep. Those criticts dont have the imagination and maturity to even comprhend such things. So just ignore them.

Thanks! *I listened to this song probably 8 times while typing this review lol*

Semaphore responds:

rofl xD yeah I know what you mean

I don't care what other people say for bad things about my songs

I like my songs

I could hear them hours long ^^

otherwise I couldn't make them

if I make a song I have to feel a mood like sadness or happyness if not the song will be bad

even if I don't like this song because I could make the horns more expressive I'm proud of the result

I began for about 3 month to make music and I never learned to read notes or play an instrument yet

but the programs can let you try things like this and improve your abilities in composing

I will listen to your songs and give you a pm =)

cheers mate ^_^

i recognize a pattern

your definatle unique but your sound is very similar to that of aphex twin calm sad mellow ambient music. it envokes emotion which is outstanding.

Semaphore responds:

thanks a lot =)

in the future I will try very different things ^^

Wow

I have never tried to take a hit at this song... you were very brave.

This is a good introduction clip to use in flash, that's for sure.

Semaphore responds:

thanks a lot =)

use it and show it to me =D

Sweet

I read that as Ganondorf's Dead and heard LotR music, thought it was an interesting take, but I was mistakenly.

I love it though, it's pretty touching music, too bad I'd read the books and knew he wasn't quite dead..

Semaphore responds:

thank you very much =)

I didn't read the books only watched the movies ^^

you should do the same =D

Man.

Much respect to you, and to Howard Shore and to Peter Jackson. Even to Tolkien, as well.

A piece not even two minutes long, and I feel enough emotion to make me want to cry. The movies were absolutely stunning in every way, and I don't think the books could have been interpreted in such a beautiful way by anyone besides Jackson. Of course, it's Shore's music that really brings the movies to life. His music puts me into the story, and makes me feel for the characters.

But all the thanks goes to Tolkien for creating such a magical world, and sharing it with everyone. I don't care what anyone says; The Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of the best stories ever told.

I applaud you for shedding more light on one of the most overlooked pieces of the soundtracks, and one of the best.

Semaphore responds:

thank you very much it could be better but I'm fine with it played by hand

I was really impressed of the LoTR music and the Gandalf's Dead piece is one of the greatest and most full of emotion containing work I've ever heard anyhow it's not even 2 minuts long

and I'm glad you share my opinion =)

thanks for the review mate
