Reviews for "Carf Vs Glados - Neurotix"

spooky

the beginning gave me a bit of a chill. i love this song, its perfect! GLaDOS FTW!!!

I like it

I loved portal so to hear Glados was AWESOME. I have walked away from hardcore and this just peaked my interest again. Great job

Carf responds:

Thanks :) It was an awesome project and I am very proud with this end result, believe me, she is a pain in the ass to work with ;p.
Although I dont make hardcore often anymore, its fun to create something if I have the right samples, like these ;).

awrag

It's not very hardcore to be honest. Well, it is, but it's not like... hard hardcore. Which I prefer. This is still very good though. I think you could work looping a little bit less. Props though, it's always good to see some hardcore on NG!

Carf responds:

Hardcore got many faces and the core is at lest 180 BPM with a continious bassdrum. In my opinion ALL dance music is a bunch of loops. Its just HOW you loop it. But the sounds and lines themself are not loops at all, every single note has been placed in the grid by myself.
Like I said, hardcore got many faces, I lived the scene for 15 years and I know how it should sound. If its not hard enough for you, well I am sorry, but I never prefert terror or speedcore at all, I prefer storytelling hardcore with a vibe.
Thanks for the rev.

hardcore ftw

i love hardcore!

also, i hate those people who vote bad on something because it's a certain genre! people seem to zero my stuff because it's psytrance! people need to be more patient and listen to the whole song!

good song. i love the kick. is that distort->eq, or distort->eq->distort, or compress->distort->compress->eq->dist ort->eq, or what? or is it a sample. forgive my harshness, but samples suck >:(

btw, congrats on the vinyl. i dunno if that's special or not, but it sounds like a big deal. i mean, it doesn't seem like just anybody can request a vinyl to be pressed...can they?

Carf responds:

Thanks for the rev ;0 its hard to find some good hardcore at NG but I am glad that I at least could drop a relevent piece ;).
The bassdrum, which you seem to love, is just a plain sample. After years of producing the part of making melodies is more important for me then creating a bassdrum. If a sample sounds good, then its sufficient to use in a track.
I am a creator from the days that FTII rulez the music scene and back then, samples where it, there was NO way to create it like we do it these days. Yes I am lazy but I rather stick with the lazyness then play around for four hours to get a straight bassdrum while I could have setup a complete track in that same time.
But I like your point of view, and I can imagine that lots of people these days prefer to make their own sounds.

Sadly I did not hear anything anymore from that one guy, but you never know what the future is gonna bring, even if I dont release anything within 40 years, I still make music ;) It is just a part of me.

YES

Love the song man, hardcore is good and GLADOS is great, good mix, just as serious as she should sound, going on the favorite's list for sure

Carf responds:

Thanks ;). Being a hardcore fan and part time producer for 12 years, this was the most funny one to create. I really tried to keep her soul in the track and it worked out as I planned. Glados deserves only worthy remixes, otherwise people should leave it as it is ;p.

At least she left a piece of cake after it was done, so I think she was satisfied with the end result ;).
