I thought this game was great. However, I think there are a few things that might make it better.
Smaller arena - there's a bit of squinting, and patterns are often too small to recognize.
Sound effects might be nice.
The bg music was cool, but with the length of the game, more options would be nice.
Describing this game in words is tough. Maybe if you made a demo (as a preloader, perhaps?) it would make sense before the game begins, and you go Ohhhhh... that's how it works.
Great work, I'd love to see more like it.
Fun game
It's a good game, and fun to play. Not too difficult, but challenging enough. The music's not bad either.
One problem I had was that on the "Easy" level, the computer just sat and did nothing. My guess is that this is some sort of "head start", but you might want to indicate that specifically (perhaps even put in a control for how many moves the human can have in advance), because I started thinking the game wasn't working because it just kept skipping its turn. Also, when I was on the easy level, it was letting me choose the computer's color, after the first move.
P.S. I don't know what zombied1's problem is. Apparently this isn't his sort of game, but I don't know what was his reason for the personal attack.
