Oh wow this really brought back good memories (and I should probably go back and cover Flame Mammoth's stage theme at some point...) but the bass was like you said, BLAH! Good for what you came up with though! Very well done! I can't stop looping it! haha!
In my opinion, you should go back and cover flame mammoth's stage at some point. That's just me though, and if you decide to do it, it was my idea!
I've actually been thinking about making this song again and spending more time on it. What do you think?

Oh man! Awesome! Takes me back to my childhood. I always used to tackle this jerk last, cuz I could never remember what his weakness was...... not to mention if you didnt have all the good powers, he'd rape you.. Meh, bass could've used a lil more, but imo, this song is still the shit. ^_^
His weakness was the heat seeking missiles wasn't it?? I haven't played the game in so long lol. The bass sucks, yaaa but oh well!

I say, challenge well handled! Sure, there are things that could have been improved! (bass, a couple of synths) but as you mentioned already, it's not the best you could work with...though, it's something that shows what you archive with the things you already have.

The bass sounds like poopy scoopy, I should've played around with it more. I hate how lazy I can be sometimes! :(
My favorite sound I made is the thing that plays by itself in the very beginning. It sounds a lot like the actual one from the game!
