I say this looks ok. Sure there are problem spots and things that need to be worked on, but hey, this isnt getting published in millions of books world-wide now is it? I have seen that people have noted on the thumb being stuck-on. I think that is true and needs to be moved up a bit more to a more natural place. Shading seems to also be a big issue here. I say that there already is some good shading, just not enough for the people here to accept, so my only advice is to try and integrate more shading next time for the tough audience. I want to say that the hair will need to be more detailed and shaded (part of her hair moves to brush above her side, I think you should add lines to show the parting of hair). I have noticed that the lines are better than last time! The background does look a little strange with the open water and pink grass, but hey, maybe this is in a different world where pink grass grows with open seas.
Overall the least I would put this as is average-good. I have seen a LOT worse on newgrounds art. I would really hope that people would not be such harsh on criticism (let alone the people who just state that the art is bad without reason). If you think the art is bad, then explain why it is bad. You can not just go around hating someone because they draw anime stuff, thats just ignorance.
Yeah, I see your point. The thumb seems to be bothering me a little too. But, what can you expect from a site that doesn't have that great of an artist community? I mean, even DA is a lot friendlier.
