You know an easier way is to get a newgrounds preloader. Instead of going throug that carp. But it is a good tutorial.

Sorry man, people are too lazy these days, and rather than make their own preloaders (WHICH THE LAZY BASTARDS SHOULD!!!) they will most likely just download the provided NG loader, and use it.
(Which I've been seein' lately.)
I appreciate your help in cleaning up NG with a nicely built tutorial for a preloader, but honestly, I don't think people will take your advice to the fullest and make their own...

we need more of these tutorials on ng.it is a great help to new flash artists.they should make a collection of these.so as not to have the same questions asked every day on the bbs.good job this is very helpfull.i voted 5 to try and make sure this thing lives.ng could do with more of these.
