You realy have to adopt to this game. The jump controlls make you accidently jump all over the place if you hold the jump button too long and the automatic charging makes it hard to calculate any action. The flashy lights are so bad they make me feel sick.
This is sure a sanity test for every Mega Man fan. "It is Mega Man, can you get your hands off it despite how awful the gameplay is?"
Is point 9 in the description realy needed? Just ignore the smugs or badly made comments. Or is Newgrounds a bigger career plattform than I thougth it was?
I remember playing this game back 2006 or so. This game is too much hardcore, but I can't complain about this. This game is supposed to be hardcore. It is a well-made game.
I wonder if anyone at least made it to te final boss...
Here's all the robot master's themes I could identify:
Dramatic Introduction Man - You Spin Me Round (Dead or Alive)
Circuitry Man - Spark Mandrill (Mega Man X)
Jet Man - Skull Man (Mega Man 4)
Punch Man - Drill Man (Mega Man 4)
Tornado Man - Tomahawk Man (Mega Man 6)
And, that's about it.
Graphics arent very good. No controls ? Just a not very good game all around
Test of time definitely hasn't been the kindest to it. As the 2nd attempt at figuring out how to make a game in flash it served as a good learning opportunity. And next iteration in MMXN was that much the better.
Misses the mark by a pretty far margin. Too frantic, frenetic, and as previously lamented- no control guide. Seems like too much work for this as payout. A good start but needs a lot of work.
Back in May 2003 it was a whole different world for computers and flash for little no programming schooling hobbyist. So lots and lots of stuff missed the mark. Domain issues breaking links for the guide doesn't help any either (though probably gotta add that to my list of things to fix on site).
