So, a cafe, right? It's already hard enough to manage one as a human being, let alone running one as three reckless cats!


Enter the Clumsy Cat Kitchen - the fast-paced top-down home of chaotic culinary. Take orders from customers, bump into useful things, avoid bumping into not-so-useful things, complete tasks and serve meals, all while under the stress of the cruel timer!


The layout of the kitchen always stays the same, but the tasks change from game to game. Learn the layout and memorize effective paths to swiftly deal with all kinds of orders!


How to Play

  1. Tap a cat to select it.
  2. Swipe in any direction to move it! You can swipe again to change direction once.
  3. Bump into objects listed in your current order to complete tasks.

Cool idea but it's got some problems. The cooldown is way too long, and sometimes I found myself waiting for it to end instead of using other cats because it seemed more efficient. It needs to be way way shorter. Maybe make it so that when a cat hits a paralyzed cat the cooldown instantly resets, that might make for some interesting strategies. I don't like the gap to the right of the trash can since you're helpless when you're in it. My biggest gripe are the controls. The cats are really fast which combined with the swiping movement that isn't instantaneous makes it very difficult to navigate the cats mid walk. You should add arrow key controls. The style meter is weird as I never got past grade C and was mostly on F the whole time, even when I was playing pretty well at times it was just C. I specifically chose Quota because I wanted a short playthrough, but 3000 points was a bit much and it ended up taking 6 minutes. The quota should be at least lowered to 2000.
The game seems to be unplayable on Firefox. It started messing with the browser real hard so I had to switch to Chrome.

Whew, that's a lot of complaints but they should be fixed relatively easy and aside from that the game is fun and I like the concept.

I think the cooldown being long is okay because, well, there needs to be *some* kind of punishment for mistakes. I could add the mechanic with cats being able to reset other cats' cooldowns, sounds fun! The trash can is a particularly carefully crafted evil part of the game that I am really hesitant to remove, hehe.

I'll try to make the game more PC-friendly later on, for now the game is using controls from a previous mobile-only version of the game. But you can actually make the cats slower! Just move the "Cat Speed" slider in the game options for that.

I'll make some adjustments to the style meter. I guess I'm just too used to my own game that I've never noticed how difficult it can be to ramp up for a new player. And sure, I'll reduce the point quota.

Also, I switched to Firefox just a couple of days ago, and I thought the game suddenly got laggy on *my* end, I didn't realise this was actually browser-specific! I'm sorry about that. I'll try my best to look into this issue.
