I like it, it's polished and challenging, the music is cool, I love the colors and background. But to echo the previous reviewer, some of the powerups slow the game down so much it becomes unplayable for a few seconds until the effect finishes.

Thanks for trying out Block Rush! This was my first game written in pure Javascript so I wanted this game to be pretty simple. I ended up learning quite a bit by the end of the development process about Javascript and web based games in general.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the final project. Some features that I wanted to have such as global leaderboards got shelved since They would've required a lot of extra work and I'd rather focus my time and energy on other projects. That being said, feel free to suggest additions to the game in the reviews section. I can definitely see myself updating this game once or twice with new features as long as they are within reason.
I also decided to make this game open source so if you're curious I'd suggest checking out the Github repository in the links section. Just be warned that it's not very organized since it is my first project like this.
How to play:
Use arrow keys and space to navigate menus. During gameplay, use arrow keys to move and space to launch a ball.

7/19/24: Minor optimizations
An okay Breakout clone, with some pretty good music.
Main complaint's the performance - playing on the stage with the bricks shaped like an X slows my PC to a crawl.
I like the challenge this has.
