The game looks like it is shaping up to be something great. The only reasons why I am giving this such a low score is because there is no sound o music and the general presentation like the title screen and text boxes are ether still very rough or look a bit to much like the default GB studio assets. Still good for an early demo.

A Christmas-themed GameBoy demo.
It is December 24th and Santa is nowhere to be seen in the night skies.
On the scene is Alice, a young witch here to investigate.
"The name's Alice, I sort things out!"
Controls:
Enter to start
WASD or arrow keys for movement
J for attack
K for jump
Controller support is buggy, please use keyboard.
This was mainly made as a proof-of-concept demo for a game I plan to make, this was developed in little over a month and served as a learning experience for game development.
Unfortunately I was unable to include sound effects or music in time for Christmas, please forgive me.
Please look forward to the full game coming (possibly) in 2024!

Thanks for the kind words, the title screen was absolutely a rush-job, something I threw together in about five minutes as a place-holder but didn't have time to change for the Christmas deadline, same goes for audio and text-boxes.
I intend to fix these things for the final game as well as patching this Christmas demo in December 2024 if I have enough time.
This is pretty decent so far! The graphics are very nice, it controls very well and I liked some of the platforming sections here. If there was something I think would improve it, I'd say the levels would definitely benefit from a checkpoint. As it stands though, this was pretty fun!

There are actually checkpoints, there's one on the sixth screen (right after you get out of the sewer) and another on the ninth, perhaps I should've set one earlier.
