A while back, I started a pitch bible for a show based off of Ian and Albert, a couple of goofballs that I made ages ago whom you may have seen in some of my other stuff. For part of said bible, I developed a series of animatics that were made for the purposes of developing and demonstrating the over vibe/energy the show would have. Nothing canonical per se, but rather something that would demonstrate how the show would play out. I call them, "Energy Tests," and this is but one of them.

Ooooooooh man. Oooooooooooo golly gee oh my this one. Easily my favorite of the bunch. The audio is from an episode of OneyPlays where the gang play Super Mario World with a questionable Xbox controller, leading to Cory (Albert, in this case) to lose his shit. I had SO much fun with this one, you have NO idea. The audio itself lends to some amazing exaggerations of form and expression, so I had to do an energy test with it. I always imagined Albert to be a rather calm and meek type of guy, being a nerd and all, but also that he can easily become absolutely infuriated at the prospect of tech of any kind not working like it's supposed to. A sentiment that I'm more than positive all of us can relate to. Probably my favorite bit is Albert trying to find where his throat is after saying that it hurts. What juxtaposition.

And yeah, the two goblin dudes aren't any actual characters. They're just fillers for Zach and Tomar's voices. If you know what I'm going for with Tomar's design, you da real one mayne.
