Man this is beautiful
Steve wakes up in a new world, ready to begin a new adventure.
This little short is rather special to me, since I had it take place in the very first Minecraft world that I ever built. In fact, Steve wakes up in the same place that I made my very first house in, although it was more of a quickly cobbled together survival shack with no roof.
I originally posted this to my YouTube channel back in February of last year, but now I'm uploading it to Newgrounds as I've become increasingly dissatisfied with YouTube as a platform. Don't worry though, I'm not going to dump my entire historical catalog here. At most I'll post an additional one or two of my personal favorites from my YT channel, but that's it. I don't do animation that much at the moment, but I do hope to explore some new (and non-Minecraft related) concepts in the future. If anything ever materializes from that, then I'll be sure to post it to this NG account as well.

Man this is beautiful
Thank you so much! This one was extra special for me since I made it for my 10th Minecraft anniversary in February of 2022. The world itself is even one of my first Minecraft worlds that I pulled from the old family PC hard drive. I just regenerated it with the same seed in the original version it was made with (Minecraft 1.1) since this is basically an artistic rendition of the start of my adventure. The spot where Steve wakes up is actually where I built my first survival shack all the way back in February of 2012.
This is really beautiful. It reminds of the old Minecraft I miss those days
Thanks! That means I did my job right then! This was made for my 10th Minecraft anniversary in February of 2022, so I wanted to be true to the 2012 style of Minecraft animations. Not only did I take care to make sure the world looked right, but I also used software from 2012 to make it. The world itself is also one of the first worlds that I made back then, which I managed to pull from the old family PC hard drive. I then regenerated it using the same seed and game version to get a clean, untouched version of the world. Steve even wakes up in the place that I built my first survival shack!
