MAKE SURE TO FIRST SELECT A CHARACTER AND THEN PRESS START, OTHERWISE IT WILL GO TO A GAME OVER SCREEN. THIS BUG WILL BE FIXED IN LATER VERSIONS!!!


Destroy monsters with the abilities of unique characters.

That's the idea of this project. There is clear a inspiration in games like Vampire Survivors, but in my case, I wanna make characters with unique gameplays, for example: Luna (the witch girl) shoot elemental bullets of fire and ice, meanwhile Zelvy (the elf bomber) drop bombs which make a high amount of damage on each explosion. Future characters are gonna have their own gameplays styles, not just changes on the stats values.


Of course, this is just an alpha version, I'm sharing it here on Newgrounds because I want the most amount of feedback possible in order to keep improving and polishing my game, so if you have some feedback I will appreciate it, I will be reading everything.


CONTROLS:


WASD --------- movement

left click -------------- fireballs

right click ------------- ice spikes

P key ------------------- pause


Future features I plan to add:

  1. More enemies.
  2. Create a special class of monsters: Summoners, they will be the antagonists responsible of the high amount of monster in the dungeon and they will act as Bosses.
  3. Make a "monsterpedia" where the people can unlock information about the characters, monsters and world.
  4. Create more maps.
  5. Add a reroll system for the power ups, using coins.


*there's no music and sfx for now (only when you grab a gem)

Very fun game. Has potential.

There can be the same upgrade appearing twice that needs to be fixed. The eye enemy gets introduced too late and too quickly. In my opinion it should be introduced early on but spawn rarely, gradually spawning more frequently. There are missing sound effects.

autofire? who needs autofire when you can pick thunder and more thunder and don't have to shoot a single time‽

Thank you for playing the demo, I'm glad you liked it.

The lack of autofire is a significant problem for a shooter. Otherwise, it's simple, the visuals are clean and colourful, making it easy to tell where I was, and the basic gameplay is fun. The powerups are good, though I would have liked the multi-bullet options to go further than just three bullets, which seemed to be the limit.

I did see a temporary lockup/lag once when destroying a pile of slimes all at once at close range, but it otherwise ran well.

Thank you for you feedback, auto fire is something is being requested and I will implement it in future updates as a toggle key, I will also look into fixing the lag you mention with the slimes, I think already know what may cause that in the code, thank you very much.

The game is nice. Nice animations, nice sprites, nice powerups (that doesn't fell unimportant or innocuous).
1) the difficulty passing is slow, I think it could be harder.
2) please put an option to TOGGLE FIRE. Games that are bullet-hells or similar that requires to click constantly should always offer the option. Some people may want to click constantly, but I certainly don't want to shorten my mouse lifespan by 2 months to play a game. You have here 2 modes of shoot, fire and ice (for the 1st char). Maybe put 2 different buttons to toggle autofire of both (can be left and right click with and option to toggle in the option menu)
3) 2nd char is super OP XD

This game can be super fun if you put more variety of mobs and bosses (I assume is what you are going to do anyway)

Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad you liked the core gameplay, the passing will be tweaked in the future depending on the opinions of the players, many has perceived the gameplay slow so I will make a little faster the movement of everything and see how opinions goes in the future.
